We are presenting you the #1 true-crime show in the world. Maintaining over 30M fans who are trying to SOLVE true-crime-inspired mysteries. Each week they deliver new content and transform the followers into true detectives. We had the great pleasure to work with this first-of-its-kind interactive content company – “SOLVE”, and help them grow further with their mobile game.
You can always find out more on their website – https://solvehq.com/, play on Snapchat and Instagram, and listen on Apple and Google Podcasts, Spotify, and iHeart Radio.
Our responsibility was to design and create Saga Maps entirely based on the theme of the show. We took the case and went through each episode and took note of the smallest details. We love a challenge; the need to be precise, accurate, and impressive is our forte after all.
The SOLVE team wanted saga maps that directly represented their Snapchat series with the same scenes, storyline, mood, and general feeling as they were expanding and adding Match 3 games to their overall crime-detective experience.
Working with the SOLVE team was an awesome experience and we were easily motivated to contribute our best. Check out how we did it and discover which shows our very pleasure (and professionalism).
After more than ten years of experience, we have learned what is most important for our clients – quick delivery with the highest of quality and a bespoke and tailored fit for the overall theme. We developed and improved our professional workflow to provide the best creative design selection. For this specific project we are adhering to four stages of progression and approval.
We start with concept and linework, then the smart objects and raw colours, followed by shadowing and highlights before finally, the rendering. Here is a live example of the stages of each saga map:
As a professional design studio, we have our own critical standards which must be met before moving onto any further stages, as well as the clients’ expectations too. We adjust our style to the look and feel of the specific series we are working on to make the smoothest transition.
The challenge in this project was to recreate the Snapchat series into the saga game maps, with as much accuracy of the places and objects as possible – Where is the first set, what are the surroundings, what type of scene is it, what is the lighting type? We left no evidence undrawn, not a single blood drop, nor a crack on a glass! Even during the stage of flat colours, we needed to be sure that they match the feel and look of the series. In other words – exactly matching a real-life episodes.
As soon as we accomplished full coherence between the drawn and the real scenes, we moved on to the next level – testing the composition along with the UI experience. We tested the consistency of the selected colours, how they feel and if they go with the overall mood and perception.
At the end of the project we had created Saga Maps designed mindfully and professionally down to the smallest detail.
Sorry, but its hard to be humble here – the clients were deeply satisfied with the final result of our work. And you could say the challenge was masterfully completed!
Check out the precision we can achieve.
We are extremely proud of what we accomplished within this project.
